Our Culture and Values

At First Page Sage, diversity and inclusion are not simply buzzwords conveniently invoked to be in step with the political winds. Here, these words accurately describe our belief that our greatest strength is the quality of our people who come from a variety of life experiences and diverse backgrounds. And this strength can only be manifested in an environment where everyone is valued for their unique abilities and talents and respected irrespective of their race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion and/or disability.

First Page Sage’s Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

Maintaining a Culture of Excellence

Maintaining a Culture of Excellence (CoE) within which everyone can contribute and grow is the expectation from which everything we do at FPS emanates. This means striving to ensure that all employees feel comfortable and empowered to openly and fully participate within their teams and work with others as needed. To support this, FPS has instituted the following:

  • Zero Tolerance Policy on Employee Harassment

To maximally contribute to the company, employees need to feel respected and valued. Therefore, FPS will not tolerate any actions that intend or actually do offend others.
  • Periodic Workplace Harassment Training

Although encouraged by the EEOC, many states do not have statutes that require companies to provide workplace harassment training for employees. However, we feel that it is important that employees are clear on what is and what is not acceptable behavior at work.
  • Diversity & Inclusion Committee

The Diversity & Inclusion Committee is an all-volunteer group of FPS employees committed to research, education and action. They continually take the pulse of FPS employees and explore methods intended to develop solutions to address any and all concerns raised. Ensuring that our colleagues are aware of company policies, reporting procedures and have access to learning and training materials is also a major objective of the group. Formulating and proposing well-defined actions to strengthen the FPS culture and work environment with particular emphasis on promoting diversity and inclusion is the primary objective of the committee.
