Top Ai Agents Market Share Tn

From March 17 – June 20, 2025, our research team conducted a study on the usage of AI agents in the U.S. market. We sourced data from the companies behind the AI agents themselves, as well as third party analytics tools and reports (see Sources). We present our findings below, ranking the top AI agents by market share, use case, and business type.

We define an “AI agent” as a program that:

  1. Takes in a goal (not just individual instructions like ChatGPT)
  2. Autonomously breaks that goal into subtasks
  3. Plans, reasons, and acts over time toward that goal
  4. Possibly uses tools or external systems to complete tasks

Top AI Agents by Market Share

We calculated each AI agent’s global market share by adding the total MAUs of every known AI agent, subtracting estimated overlap, and dividing each agent’s MAU into the total. We also included reported quarterly user growth, as well as a description of the way each AI agent is typically used.
